Time is the essence that we live by but it’s not how we should gauge our lives. We pay too much attention to time, giving time too much credit. We regulate everything by time but we really should regulate everything by the Universal flow of energy.

Instead, we should pay more attention to how we do things instead of when we do things and in what time frame we do things. If we paid less attention to time and more attention to how we are doing things, we would all do things much better and the quality of society would be more pure. Instead, we are too worried about getting things done in 10 minutes so we only give enough effort to accommodate that 10 minutes of time instead of giving it purely from our heart and doing it with energy. We’re too much in a rush to see what we can complete in our lives and there’s not enough focus on the quality of what we’ve completed.

It doesn’t take very much effort to haphazardly create something really quickly, but it takes a lot more effort to make something that’s of value and to put love and positive energy into it when we do it. The distinguished people in the world who were the great inventors and achievers recognized that time shouldn’t be their focus, but quality should be. We should all lead by their example.

So when your dog wants you to stop and play, to stop and pet him or go for a walk, you should be very present. You should be present in the walk and present in the play because in the concept of time, 10 minutes of quality time together is far more valuable than an hour of half assed time together where you’re just not really present. Otherwise, your pet isn’t getting the “being”, they aren’t getting the energy that they need from you. Consequently, they’re going to keep coming back for more and trying to get what they need from you so it takes longer. If we were more focused on the quality rather than the quantity, then everything would happen faster because we would be more mindful and more present. People need to learn that from animals because animals are more mindful and they want to be present in the moment.

We especially need to apply this lesson in terms of love. When we get love, we need to be fully present and pay attention to how we give love and not just throw meaningless words around or give a hug in a hurry. Time should not be the focus. The quality of the hug should be the focus. The quality of the words. What you feel behind the words.

Elderly people need this focus more than anyone. Elderly people don’t have the time because their time is running out. They need to focus on the quality, but by the time you get to your elderly years, it’s kind of late to be focusing on quality. You should be focusing on quality from the very beginning, focusing on instilling these beliefs in our children.

Not so much time would be wasted if we would just focus on quality. Thank you.
